Week 1
Maths
In maths this week we have been weighing in grams and kilograms. The children have practised using some scales to weigh objects, using <, > and = to compare the weight of objects and exploring how grams are smaller than kilograms.
PE
In REAL PE this term our focus is 'personal'. The children were practising different foot sequences; side stepping, hop scotch and moving in zig -zag directions around a course.
Alternative PE
This term in PE, our alternative a sport was quidditch. The children had great fun playing a game where they had to run from one end of the playground to another whilst thinking about others on the playground who were trying to catch them out.
Science
In science this week, the children were looking at what materials were absorbant or waterproof.
International day
In Year 2, we explored the country of Pakistan. We learnt about its geographical location and some common traditions. We also explored Diwali and made some decorations.
