Week 1
This week the children have been following their full time table and have been introduced to the topics they will be learning this term. Our literacy theme links with the history topic, the Stone Age and the genre of writing they will initially focus on instruction writing. In maths the children developed their know.edge and understanding of place value of 3 digit numbers. In PE, the children learnt some Lacrosse skills as part of our alternative PE lessons.
On Friday, the children took part in the second afternoon on Brain Awareness, where we focussed on the thinking brain. The children began by drawing pictures of what they thought their brain looked like when they were thinking (see photos below). Then we explored our thinking brain, considering lots of big questions such as if we had 3 wishes for the world what would they be? What makes us happy?
