Friday was Brain Awareness Day. We looked at the different ways we are 'Smart' and looked at how we can make the most of our 'smarts' whilst working to improve areas that were cool spots. We tried lots of different activities - each designed to help with a different smart - Number Smart, Word Smart, 2D/3D Smart, Music Smart, Nature Smart, Self Smart, People Smart, Practical Smart and Body Smart. We did sudoku puzzles to test our number smarts, wrote poems to test our word smarts, designed aliens in both drawings and lego modelling to test our 2d/3d smarts, and made accessories from newspaper to test our practical smarts. We also looked for shapes in clouds to test our nature smarts, designed a warm up routine for PE lessons to test our body smarts and gave music awards to test our music smarts.
