Week 2
In literacy we are continuing to look at myths - We have hot seated heroes and monsters and investigated their characters, written wanted posters looking for a hero to defeat Medusa, created our own mythical creatures and written excellent descriptions of them.
In maths we have been working on addition and subtraction. We concentrated on learning the method before applying it to reasoning and problem solving.
In other news:
Everyone was excited to start football in games lessons. We used our learning from last term to look at South Americas variety of climates. Borders for Roman mosaics were designed in art. We investigated the Roman empire in History. The learning behaviour this week was confidence and the children all made a brilliant effort to evidence this in lessons.
