We started our myths topic in literacy. The children have been fascinated by the characters and challenges in the stories. They created freeze frames to show parts of the stories, boxed up myths to show examples of the features and then wrote their own setting descriptions.
In Maths lessons we returned to addition and subtraction but are now using larger numbers and making sure we understand how to exchange across different place values. We have done lots of work on identifying language in word problems that will help us decide which operation to use.
In other areas; we have become network engineers in ICT and started to look at the different parts of computers, we explored how to stay healthy by eating the different food groups in the right quantities, we used an atlas to discover and record the different climates in South America, used a printing techniques to design a Roman mosaic and looked at the story of the blind man in RE.
