This week we have been reading the story A New Home for a Pirate. Using this book we have used expanded noun phrases to describe some of the settings from the story and some of the pirates belongings. It has been extremely fun and the children have done a fantastic job at doing some talk for writing to retell the story in the correct order.
For our maths lesson we have been looking at comparing number sentences. We have been using equipment to support our learning and also use the < and > symbols when the number sentences have become more complex.
One of our PE lessons this week involved communicating and balancing. We worked on different levels for the children to communicate passing in different ways whilst using a lot of core strength.
During our computing lesson this week we were starting to look at programming. This involved us going outside into space (playground) and in partners the children had to direct each other from one planet to another. We found this was much harder than we thought but after some careful thought we were able to think very carefully about the instructions we had to use.
