Week 2
Literacy
In Literacy the children have been focusing on rewriting the story of Paddington Goes for Gold. We did a lot of work on the problem of the story, the characters emotions and using descriptive language to describe what was happening. The children did some freeze frames and we spoke about some of the things some of the different things the characters could say.
Maths
Our focus in maths has been addition and subtraction. The children looked at using the more than, less than and equal symbols to compare different number sentences.
Science
In Science this week the children have focused their learning on materials. They were searching around their learning environment and labelling objects with the material they are made from.
PSHE
During our PSHE lesson we focused our learning on feelings. We discussed synonyms for some of these and how different people express how they feel in different ways.
