Week 2

This week the children were put through paces, as it was assessment week. They showed resilience and determination; I have been very proud of their attitude when tackling the assessments.

In preparation for Wednesday Armistice day, the children reflected upon the services men and women who had fought in wars. They each coloured in a poppy, which was made into a wreath and was the focus point for our assembly.

Children in need took place on Friday and I was really impressed by the class running laps of the KS2 mile track for 8 minutes. We will let you know how much was raised in due course, but that you to all those who contributed.

The children also took part in a philosophy lesson, thinking about the following question: if you could choose one thing to change about the world, what would it be? This question stimulated discussions about climate and our environment, Covid-19 and poor people.

Have a lovely weekend
