Week 2
This week we have been continuing to settle in to school and 'explore like the octonauts' - finding out about how to use the areas and resources in our classroom...and how to tidy them all away!
We enjoyed the story 'Pete the Cat: rocking in my school shoes' so much last week that we continued with learning around this which included some of our us making our own pages for a book as well as recording live versions on the ipads of what we are doing in our school shoes.
We enjoyed demonstrating our kicking and catching skills outside as well as having lots of fun 'painting' our outdoor area with soapy water. As we liked the characters from the 'I am a shape' song so much, we showed off our scissor skills as well naming shapes by making these super characters which we will use to help us with our learning in maths. We also enjoyed the challenge of threading beads and creating puzzles
We have had a very tiring but very fun first full week of school!
