  2. Write a thank you note to the lunchtime or reception staff.
  3. Say thank you to your teacher for teaching you.
  4. Say thank you to someone in your class.
  5. Talk to people in your class about their favourite thing about school.

Class Collective worship:

In our Class Collective Worship, we listened to the story in the Bible where Mary anoints Jesus as a sign of her gratitude for all he had done for her. We reflected on these questions:

Do you complain and blame others or do you stay positive and thankful for the good things in your life?

Have you ever felt grateful for something that you would give almost anything in order to thank the person who has been generous towards you?

We then created a gratitude tree with all the things that we are thankful for written on the leaves.

Do you complain and blame others or do you stay positive and thankful for the good things in your life?

  • I will be positive because I want people to be my friend.
  • When my brother makes me feel angry, I think about what I have and think that it is ok he gets things too.
  • I stay positive and be thankful for good things, not everyone has food or shelter

Have you ever felt grateful for something that you would give almost anything in order to thank the person who has been generous towards you?

  • “My teachers, my mummy and my dad.”
  • learning things such as facts about animals, like in some of our science lessons.
  • I am grateful for the world
  • I am thankful for best friends, and show them by giving them hugs.
  • We feel happy and appreciated when someone says thank you. We feel like the person trusts us and that we have made a new friend.
  • My grandad buying us dinner.
