Week 3

This week has been assessment week (not the children's favourite time of the year). They have been completing tests in the morning so no maths topic this week but we have continued with our Literacy topic. The children are experts at the features of letter writing so we have had fun pretending to be characters from Peter Pan - hot seating and writing some brilliant letters to Tinkerbell which are well worth a read.

In other areas; we created adverts to sell Roman Villas in history, compared schools in Bolivia to our own, at the key days of Holy week and ordered the events, experimented with packaging nets in DT,  learnt songs for our class assembly, continued to develop our tennis skills and then finally, in Science we completed our investigation into people with longer legs running faster.

Friday was Sport Relief so the children took part in year 6's fund raiser. They ran two miles - completing 32 laps around the playground. Their enthusiasm and excitement was brilliant and well done for raising money for a worth while cause.
