Week 3
Maths
This week we focused our Maths learning on multiplication. The children looked at the relationship between repeated addition and multiplication, what this looks like visually before we continued to calculate multiplication questions through drawing arrays.
Literacy
Our focus this week in Literacy was to finish retelling the story of The Polar Bear Son. The children spent time going through editing stations and focusing on different elements to improve their writing (grammar, punctuation, spelling, vocabulary etc) before making our final publications.
Active learning
To help our brain stay active we did a short guided dance to the song 'I'm still standing'. The children really enjoyed it, were singing it throughout the day and it really helped our minds to focus on our learning.
Netball
PE
Our REAL PE session this week consisted of some ball sequences. we continued to think about showing when we are reading to throw and catch the ball.
We also went over the importance of warming up and cooling down and how this can be done.
