Week 3

Well, I am pleased to report that our second assessment week of Year 1 went very smoothly. The children were fantastic at being independent in sharing what they have learnt so far. I was delighted with their attitude towards the tasks they had been given and everyone giving their absolute best! I look forward to sharing more with you about your child next week at our parents evenings.

Alongside mornings of assessment, we managed to have some rather pleasant afternoons with our non core subjects.

In Art, children thought about looking closely at natural objects and drawing what they could see.

In History, we went on a photograph hunt, using old photographs to identify different parts of the town, followed by comparing these to the same places now.

We considered Palm Sunday further in RE, and wrote a prayer to Jesus to tell him why we think he is special.

In PE we are working on our balancing skills which will develop the cognitive cog of Real PE.

Finally, we enjoyed our 'fun run' on the playground for sports relief. Thank you to those that supported this worthy cause.
