Week 3
Literacy
At the beginning of the week the children tried a marmalade sandwich and then tried to describe it using their senses. There were a lot of mixed responses!
Literacy
Later in the week we explored several different postcards. We discussed how they are similar and different to a story and then the children explored some of the different features.
Maths
In maths we have focused our learning on multiplication and division. The children have used maths equipment to practise sharing quantities equally before trying to write a number sentence with the division symbol.
PE
For our harvest performance we have been practising a poem called ‘I Give You Thanks’. The children have been practising their verses and have thought of actions that can accompany some of the main points. If you have any chance over the weekend to practise it then I think it could make our whole class performance even better! Thanks, Miss Plume.
