Week 3
We are back in school and so happy to see everyone and return to some "normality".
The children have settled back in as if they have never been away which is brilliant.
In Literacy we started our new class text - Hidden figures which so far the children are finding fascinating. We thought of questions we wanted to discover the answer too and discussed what we liked and disliked so far. We also looking at the features of explanation text and designed a process to trap an alien.
Maths was spent going over tricky topics like fractions and time. The children all improved lots through the week as their confidence grew.
In other subjects...
we wrote diary entries from a trip into space, played lots of playground games, made posters showing how to care for our community, sequenced the events of Holy Week and discussed whether it was all part of God's plan, started rehearsing songs for Easter and began our new DT topic - CAMS, moving toys.
