Week 3

This week, Year 3 have been working hard to learn about playscripts in literacy. At the beginning of the week, they looked at the features of a playscript, then they wrote their own short scene based on The Twits and finally they have a go at acting out one another's scripts.

In maths, this week was used to revisit time, looking at how we can estimate time and understand am / pm.

As it has been Friendship week - One Kind Word - the children explore the importance of this in their PSHE lesson. Understanding the importance of friendship and how to treat one another with kindness.

On Friday, the children took part in Godly play. The class looked at the story of Moses, and discussed how God chose him to lead the people of God from slavery to the Promised Land. They focused on the miraculous parting of the red sea, and Moses' determination and persistence in persuading Pharaoh to "Let my People Go".  In the afternoon, as part of Children in Need, the class took part in a treasure hunt lead by Year 6 children.

Have a lovely weekend!
