Week 3

In Literacy we are continuing with our book 'Here We Are' by Oliver Jeffers. This week we have been focusing on respect, thinking about some rules for respect we could have in our classroom to make sure everyone is happy and safe. In Maths, we have carried on with our place value topic, looking at counting forwards (and counting backwards next week). We had great fun counting forwards by singing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, once I caught a fish alive!

In Science this week the children have been exploring how animals move. They moved around the classroom as different animals. In Art, we have continued out portraits topic, looking closer at how colours can be used to show emotions. In Geography, we followed Buddy the Bee to Australia. We learnt about Aboriginals and created boomerang designs.

Some children had the exciting opportunity to complete the Bikeability course. They had great fun and have got new skills for life!
