Week 3
All of the children have worked so hard this week showing their learning in literacy, maths and science assessments. Well done Year One superstars for challenging yourselves and doing your best! 
This week we started to use our new PE pack called 'Real PE'. We went on an adventure, based on a book called 'The Birthday Bike Surprise'. Lots of coordination and balancing required ( at whatever challenge level we were comfortable with) as well as imagination! Great fun!
PSHE we have started thinking about changes that happen. We wrote a wish for how we hope to change when we are older.
Design and Technology - We continued with practising techniques that we will use for making a 3D castle. This week looked at castle walls and thought about their function before challenging ourselves to make our own. I was amazed not just at the DT skills the children developed but their levels of perseverance and teamwork to complete their challenge even when things got tough. Awesome work, Year One!
