The week started exploring division word problems practically in the hall, then we further developed our problem and reasoning skills in the classroom. In literacy, we began a new topic using the video of 'The Piano' as our stimulus.
The highlight of the week has to be our school trip to RAF Halton to take part in STEM activities on Thursday. The children experienced radio comms; they were shown around an aeroplane hanger and many of them had the opportunity to sit in a light aircraft. They looked at forces and friction, making and launching rockets; they made, decorated and flew model planes and some even were lucky enough to go with a flight simulator. Please enjoy looking at the photo's we tried to take throughout the day.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
