Week 4
In Literacy this week we have been continuing to look at Greek myths. This week we have focused on the story of Theseus and the Minotaur. The children have had great fun designing and describing their own mythical beast and retelling the myth in their own words.
In Maths we have been working on finding and calculating the perimeter of shapes. This included rectilinear shapes and finding the lengths of missing sides. We finished the week with a fun investigation involving the perimeters of dinosaur enclosures.
In other areas; the children continue to be shining in their singing and dance rehearsals for the Christmas performance, we have written setting descriptions of Greek landscapes, investigated gravity with the help of bubbles and balloons, explored our knowledge of the Christmas story, rated biscuits in DT and made Christmas cards as part of this terms citizenship project.
