Week 4
In Literacy this week the children designed their own space inventions and then wrote explanation texts to explain how they work.
Maths was focused on mass so the children had some time estimating and weighing items as well as solving problems and converting between measurements.
In other areas; we played ultimate frisbee, designed outfits from the 1960s, drew diagrams of the solar system, wrote discussion texts about countries in Europe and investigated the events of Holy week. Friday was Comic relief and the children fully entered into the spirit of it, dressing in red/superhero costumes, designing t-shirts for the competition and then spreading a smile by turning their grumpy photos into funny pieces of art.
