Week 4
Literacy
This week in our Literacy lessons we have been describing what it is like to have a marmalade sandwich, similar to Paddington. We then wrote about these experiences using some adjectives and expanded noun phrases. We have also been looking at the features of a postcard compared to a story and we presented this on a venn diagram.
Science
In science the children have been learning about materials. They have been discussing some of their properties and sorting them into groups.
PE
In our Games session we have been focusing on some of our multiskills. The children have continued practising holding a cricket bat and ball but also played games where they have to think about working as part of a team.
Year 2 Sharing assembly
Year 2 had their sharing assembly this week. They shared some of the work we have been doing in Literacy, Maths, Science, RE, Geography and PE. We finished it off by reading a prayer from our whole class prayer book.
