We furthered our learning about play scripts in Literacy this week. We acted out some existing scripts so we understood the features and then had a go at turning chapters of The Twits into a scene from a play.
In Maths lessons we continued with fractions but moved on to unit and non-unit fractions. We looked at finding fractions of shapes and fractions of groups of objects. The children really enjoyed working on this practically with resources out on the playground.
In other areas; we started the week with our sharing assembly where we showed the school some of our work from this half term, we looked at the opposite extreme climate to last week- The Sahara, experimented with magnetic and non-magnetic materials in Science, greatly improved with our recording playing and sketched eyes in detail during Art.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
