Week 5
This week we read a new story in Literacy, ‘Handa’s Hen’. We developed our understanding of questions and statements in Literacy, concluding the week with a chick hunt where we thought about and wrote questions about where they could be before searching and writing statements about our discoveries.
In maths, we concluded our two weeks of further understanding of place value including finding one more and less, comparing numbers and counting in twos.
We went on a walk around our school in geography, using our senses to consider its features, before attempting aerial maps of the school!
Art this week explored Delauney and hot and cold colours.
In PE we continued practising throwing and catching and enjoyed the team game of hot potato which really tested our speed and accuracy.
In Computing we designed our own wolves to illustrate ‘The three little pigs’.
