Week 5
Year One have been challenging themselves with fractions this week. They have found half of a shape and quantity and quarter of a shape. They have been learning to use maths words to describe equal parts being part of a whole.
In literacy we have been looking at animal poetry and have started to recite some poems. We hope you like our poem recital below. We also thought about how adjectives describe nouns and matched adjectives to animal names.
We have continued to think about how Shabbat is a special time for Jewish people in RE and drew and collaged the Shabbat meal.
Our geography has taken us around the UK and we became tour guides - writing our own scripts and reading them aloud. I think we might have some budding presenters in our midst!
