This week has been jam packed full of learning; in maths they have been developing their knowledge of fractions, including adding and subtracting fractions of the same denominator. In literacy, they have continued their persuasive writing skills including designing a poster to save the rainforest.
As part of their history topic on the Ancient Egyptians, the children learnt about the process of mummification and had try themselves. They have mummified some tomatoes (as an alternative to dead bodies). We will leave them for 2 weeks in ‘natron’ (salt and bicarbonate of soda) to absorb all the moisture. Then they should be ready for wrapping.
Have a lovely weekend!
