Week 5
Maths
We began looking at quarters this week in maths. The children practised running a quarter of our running track on the playground. We also managed to practise counting up in quarters to measure how much of the track was completed.
Literacy
We began looking at the story ‘A ticket around the world’. The children explored some of the features of this non fiction book and compared it to ‘Paddington Goes for Gold’ for an example of a fictional book. We categorised some of the features in a vein diagram after reading some clues from our scavenger hunt.
