Week 6
Outdoor spellings
We warmed up our brains at the start of the week by talking about homophones. We practised spelling some of these on the playground and talked about what they each mean.
Literacy

In Literacy we have been learning about Rosa Parks. We tried reliving her experience on the bus and discussing how people felt and what their response would be. We then created a word mat and wrote down a sentence on a placard. We put a lot of focus into our use of vocabulary and how we want our message to be put forward.
Black Lives Matter
We have done some work today on Black Lives Matter. When the children came in in the morning they each made some hand prints with different colour paints. We discussed how even though there are different colours of people, we are all beautiful and should be treated the same.
