Week 6

What a busy term but we are nearly there...

In Maths we worked on our data handling skills - reading and interpreting tables. Great effort from everyone and it was great to see their progress with problem solving in this area.

In Literacy we have been looking at features of poetry using "A poem to be spoken silently" as our stimulus. the children were excellent at finding examples of language features and then providing their own examples. We finished the week by writing our own versions of the poem. We kept the features and patterns but changed the theme/name to A Poem to be spoken at Christmas.

In other areas; we completed our class competition in volleyball (results to follow soon), played quidditch in alternative PE, continued to investigate water resistance in Science, had a lovely afternoon for the carol service looking at artwork and listening to music and readings, designed our biscuits in DT, compared versions of the Christmas story in RE and programmed our game designs in computing.
