Week 7
We have made it to half term and although the we have all been happy to be back in school, it has been a busy half term and everyone is ready for a break.
We completed our Literacy topic by writing adventure stories based on "The Tunnel". The children followed the structure of the story and came up with their own ideas of what was on the other side of the tunnel and how to solve the problem and get back home.
In Maths, we looked at measuring and solving problems involving length. We also looked at imperial units of measure which was tricky but the children all gave it 110% effort.
In other subjects, we completed our class competition in netball (results to be shared in our sports assembly next half term), wrote diary entries as an Olympic runner linked to Black History Month, made our Christmas card art ready for you all to order your fantastic Christmas cards, finished painting our Greek pots, made an inspirational quotes blanket in book talk and completed deeper thinking questions in RE.
