Week beginning 30th March

Dear Year 4,

It's strange not to see you all during the week; I hope that you are all doing ok whilst we all look after one another by staying at home.

I hope that you are managing to complete your daily tasks; I have made some changes to this weeks work,so please take a look  and read carefully below.

I know that it is different working from home; but please try your best to complete what I have set you to do, so that you continue to learn whilst we are not in school. Also, don't forget to ask your family to help you if you are unsure about some of your work; however, be kind and patient with them, as they may not be familiar with our way of learning at school. If you are feeling stressed or anxious, take a break and come back to it at another time. Remember to have a positive attitude and remember your growth mindset in all that you do.

Finally, don't forget to spend some time doing things you enjoy or learn a new skill. Here are some examples below:

  • Make a den either in the garden or in a room inside your home.
  • Write a diary at this unusual time - it could be something you share with your children when you're older!
  • If you have Lego, make something different with it: a musical instrument, a bridge, a tower etc.
  • Make up a new dance routine
  • Write / draw a comic
  • Make music from things around your home
  • Do some baking
  • Do some junk modelling or design a piece of clothing out of your recycling
  • Try some origami

I can't wait to hear what you have been up to when we all return to school.

Take care

From
