World Book Day 2011
On World Book Day we came to school dressed up as our favourite book characters. Can you guess who we are and which books we are from? During the day we looked at two stories from New Zealand - our e twinning country. The first book was 'The Little Kiwi and the Dinosaur'. In this book the birds tried to make a scary dinosaur from sticks and twigs. We had a go at making our own dinosaurs using artstraws. We tried to make them as scary as possible. The second book we read was 'Kapai's New Mates'. This book was about a kiwi bird who wanted to fly but couldn't. We were set the challenge of trying to make our own kiwi birds fly. We had to design and then make our ideas. Take a look at the photographs to see what we came up with.
