Week 1
We started a new topic in Literacy, shape poems. The children have really engaged with investigating and learning how to use the different language features. On Thursday they wrote some excellent poems of their own based on rain drops or stars.
In Maths lessons we had a week learning about time - we looked at the vocabulary, drew our own clocks and solved problems involving the duration of events.
In other areas; we went hunting and gathering to learn about food during the Stone age, we designed our own fantasy sandwiches, started learning our songs and dance for the Christmas performance, grouped rocks based on their properties and Friday was an extra fun day - we went to the cinema to watch The Secret Life of Pets 2 and then had an international afternoon learning about Columbia and Kenya.
