Week 1
I hope you all had a fantastic half term. It’s been an action packed week for our first week back.
In Literacy we finished our instructions unit. We read instructions and identified the verbs in each steps and sequenced mixed up instructions. We worked with a partner to make posters for the reception class to help them understand what to do in the morning as they get into school as well as to show how to wash your hands. Finally, we helped Mrs Ryall to make a jam sandwich and had a try at writing instructions for someone to follow to make their own.
In Maths we have been learning about place value of numbers to twenty using part whole models, tens frames and different equipment.
In art we created line drawings on our watercolour backgrounds and in music we have started to learn our Christmas songs. Please keep practising these at home. https://www.hwce.co.uk/super-star-music/
