Week 2
This week has been Book Week! The children have really enjoyed the different opportunities to engage with books, characters and reading every day. Monday kicked off with a visit from author Anne Miller, and paired reading in the afternoon with Year 2.
On Tuesday, the children engaged with the story on the life of Jesus ( 5 stories in 1) in Godly Play, before considering the events of Holy Week on Tuesday afternoon during RE.
Year 6 Election Campaign! Following speeches from their party leaders, Year 5 voted for the party they supported most. Watch this space for the results!
In Science, the children learnt about day and night and how it is caused by the rotation of the Earth. On Friday, the children took part in a workshop given by the NSPCC, focusing on recognising their right to staying safe and feel secure.
